Gender and Mine Action Programme

The Gender and Mine Action Programme is an international programme based in Geneva that has been working since 2006 to make mine action more inclusive, efficient and effective by supporting partners and encouraging stakeholders to take into account gender and diversity considerations in policies, programming and operations. GMAP provides in-country and remote advisory services, technical assistance, capacity development, research and advocacy. GMAP’s vision is a world in which women, girls, boys and men from diverse groups are safe from landmines and other explosive remnants of war and participate in and benefit from mine action equally.
